Strong growth rates have been recorded in the aquaculture sector worldwide for decades, nevertheless, the great growth of the aquaculture sector has not yet come to Germany. Although aquaculture is one of the areas supported by the EU blue-growth strategy, bureaucratic barriers often prevent the development of aquaculture facilities. On 30 May 2018, experts will provide an insight into the diversity of the required approval processes and the legal background, and point out which measures would be helpful and necessary to promote the development of sustainable aquaculture in Germany.

The talks will be in German.
