Katrin Rehdanz studied economics at the University of Hamburg. She earned her doctorate in 2004. In 2007, she was offered a position as assistant professor within the Cluster of Excellence ‘Future Ocean’. Until 2012 she was leading the young researcher group ‘Valuing the Ocean’ within the Cluster. Since 2016 she is managing director or the Department of Regional Science, Environmental and Resource Economics and professor for environmental and energy economics.
