Research questions

  • How can we reasonably argue about our relationships to the world of nature with respect to perceptions, attitudes, values, commitments, and obligations?
  • Which ethical ideas, concept, rules, guidelines, and objectives define a truly sustainable development?
  • How can a general concept of sustainability be applied to different field of environmental concern, as climate change, biodiversity, forestry, freshwater, fisheries, and marine systems?
  • How can a democratic society organize a fair transformation toward a sustainable post-growth state?
  • How can humans realize the three objective of Convention of Biological Diversity: protection, sustainable use, and fair access and benefit sharing.
