Research on the potential uses of marine organisms for medicine, the food industry and cosmetics is increasingly gaining in significance in the form of "blue biotechnology". Whether analgesic substances from a sea snail, an anti-freeze protein from ocean fish in ice cream, algae ingredients in cancer therapy, in food or in face creams ... the methods, products and applications are extremely diverse and complex. The lectures on the topic "Blue biotechnology: New products from aquaculture" will inform about current findings as well as the economic potential on June 13, 2018.

The talks will be in German.
