Erasmus spots available at each SEA-EU Partner University – application open until 15 April and 1 June 2021 – open to students of all faculties

The European University Alliance SEA-EU – The European University of the Seas” aims to support mobility activities of students within the alliance and to foster transdisciplinary cooperation between the six participating partner universities.

For this reason, 100 new Erasmus places have been created for students of Kiel University (20 places at each SEA-EU partner university). This Erasmus partnership is open to students from all faculties at Kiel University. Therefore, it is an additional Erasmus offer and the Erasmus placement is not bound to a certain faculty – as it usually is the case.

Bachelor, Master and PhD students can take part in an SEA-EU Erasmus semester at the following universities:

Advantages of studying abroad
Spending an Erasmus semester abroad pays off in many ways and is an enriching experience:

  • It is an opportunity to improve your foreign language skills.
  • It is a chance to discover a new culture and experience European diversity.
  • It can increase your chances of finding a job.
  • There are no tuition fees at the host university.
  • You receive financial support on a monthly basis due to the mobility grant of the EU (the exact amount depends on the country category).

Requirements:

  • You are a student enrolled at Kiel University.
  • Your first year at university will be completed by the time you start your semester abroad.
  • ou have sufficient knowledge of the language of instruction at the host university (at least B1).
  • You commit to earning at least 15 ECTS per semester at the host university.

A semester abroad should be planned carefully and long in advance. The success of a semester abroad depends a lot on your own initiative. Even if it seems far away, it is important to deal with organizational matters early on. Please check what the language of instructions is for the courses you are interested in. Please also note that the recognition of ECTS received abroad will take place at your own faculty according to the existing examination rules.
