Martin Quaas studied Physics at the University of Duisburg-Essen. In 2004 he received his doctorate in Economics at the University of Heidelberg. After working at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research in Leipzig and in the Netherlands, in 2007 Martin Quaas became Professor of Environmental, Resource, and Ecological Economics at Kiel University.
